Kevin Brownlow Interview on Abel Gance NAPOLEON

Kevin Brownlow comments on the up-coming U.S. Premiere in Oakland of the complete NAPOLEON (1927). The legendary Silent film from French Director Abel Gance. Considered by many as the greatest motion picture ever produced. The epic of all epics took Some 2 and half years in the making. It has never been seen close to it's entirety in American before. Bombastically edited upon it's initial U. S. Release in 1928. Trimmed to under 90 minutes. Gance Directors Cut was somewhere between 7 and 9 hours in length. For the first time ever, Carl Davis will present his Orchestral score live to American audiences.

Fascinating interview. The Oakland Movie Theatre looks awesome. What a perfect setting to show this epic film with full orchestra. Thanks for posting!
